I’m in an airport at the moment waiting for a flight to open for check-in. It’s interesting that from here I can see into the after customs area of the airport and there is a currency exchange booth in there.
After customs currency exhange would probably be the most expensive option that I can think of for exchanging money into a different currency.
The problem is that the users of the service only have a single option after customs to exchange their currency and while it’s a positive thing that the service is available whereever there is only a single option on a service like this them the prices for the exchange are by default going to be more expensive than any other option.
So, if you’re thinking of exchanging currency after customs, why not just keep it in your pocket and wait until you can deposit into a bank account or find the best exchange rate.
